Dean joined as the Associate Pastor of Faith Formation and Community Life in January of 2024. Youth and Families and Young Adults are the main areas of ministry Dean oversees.

Hospital Chaplaincy, Church Ministry, and Higher Education are three ministry areas that have deeply shaped Dean’s heart to provide pastoral care for the traumatized, wounded, voiceless, and people who are deeply seeking God’s presence. His spiritual formation involves upholding the belief that every person’s life and story matters. Dean’s sense of call involves teaching, community building, and discipleship to the next generation of Youth and Young Adults. Dean has previously served under Presbyterian churches in Chicago, IL, St. Louis, MO, and in Los Angeles, CA.

For his seminary education, Dean received an M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary. He also received an M.Ed. in Higher Education and a B.A. in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
