Adult Ministries
To enable individual Christian growth toward maturity in Christ and to equip the community of the Body of Christ for ministry.
Sunday Morning Adult Education
A variety of opportunities are provided to learn about Christ’s teachings, the Bible, theology, church history, understanding Christianity in today’s world, and how to live our faith. We engage in group studies and are blessed with special guest speakers.
Koinonia Connect Fellowship Groups
“Koinonia” means fellowship, to have in common, to share, and to be in communion. These small groups are made up of people who want to deepen their faith, friendships, and/or establish new connections within a loving, caring and safe group. From get togethers in homes, to sharing hobbies, or going to dinner, these faith-based groups promote Christ’s mandate to love and care for one another.
Bible Studies for Men and Women
Traditional Bible studies held at various times and places in person or on Zoom. Attendees learn about God’s love and forgiveness and discuss the challenges of following Jesus in today’s society. The men’s study is year round and focuses on the Bible passage for the upcoming Sunday sermon. The women’s study meets September thru May and follows the Presbyterian Women’s Horizons Bible Study issued annually.
Daily Devotionals
Our Daily Bread is a daily devotional booklet provided each quarter to the congregation to encourage daily reflection and prayer.
Welcome Wednesdays
Welcome Wednesdays offer all generations a night of food, fellowship, and conversation. Dinner is provided and families are encouraged to bring their children for learning opportunities and activities geared to their age. We use the Follow Me curriculum from PC(USA) which provides studies on the same topic for adults, youth, and children. Welcome Wednesdays are held each fall and winter for 4-6 weeks at a time.
Weekend in the Word
Offered once each year, an outside church leader/theologian is invited to spend the weekend (Friday evening through Sunday morning) sharing ways to grow in Christian faith. In 2024, we are once again hosting Weekend in the Word, Sept 20-21, with speaker Rev. Dr. Bruce Reyes-Chow.
