All Are Truly Welcome
Come and experience a warm and inviting church community that takes seriously the call to live in the light of God’s love!
This Vigil offers a compassionate space for the Santa Barbara community to gather in grief, prayer, and hope amid the pain, violence, and uncertainty shaping our world today. Together, we will hold the suffering caused by wars and conflicts across the globe, as well as the struggles facing our neighbors here at home, especially within the immigrant community.
Many local residents have expressed a deep desire for the faith community to be more present, more supportive, and more vocal during these times of need. This vigil is a response to that call. It will center the voices of those most directly affected, with clergy present in a supportive role.
The hour-long bilingual gathering will include prayer, reflection, a range of music, and optional participatory elements, including opportunities for lament. Music will include songs of resilience, hope, and courage shared by those who have been lifting up anthems of justice and witness in the streets of Santa Barbara and beyond.
Guided by the simple invitation, “Come As You Are,” this vigil is intended to be a place of comfort, safety, and healing — a space where our community can stand together, honor grief, pray for peace, and affirm our shared hope.
