Deacons are church members who have been nominated and elected by the congregation into service. Deacons work alongside the Pastor as “the caring arm of the church.” Their role of compassion, witness, and service follows in the path of Jesus Christ.

Home Communion

Visiting the homebound on a regular basis and bringing communion to those who otherwise would not be able to partake in this foundational practice of our faith

Memorial Reception Hosting

Providing decorations and light refreshments for receptions following memorial services at no cost to the family.

Visitation

Connecting with those who are homebound, hospitalized, or recovering from surgery or an injury with in-person visits, phone calls, and cards, as well as arranging meal trains when requested.

ECC Outreach and Teacher Support

Providing a connection between the larger church and the families and staff who are a part of the ECC ministry.

Scholarships

Through the generosity of past members, the deacons have been bequeathed funds for annual scholarships to support higher education.
