Children’s Ministries

Children’s Ministries at First Presbyterian Church is designed to introduce your child (infant to 6th grade) to the love of God in Jesus Christ, and to enable each child to find his or her place as a part of our church family. Some programs are intended as caring places to be while parents are working or attending classes, some are for families to fellowship together, and others are intended to offer age-appropriate fellowship, Bible study, support, and fun.

Programs vary in their purpose, but all are safe and welcoming. Staff and volunteers provide leadership in all children’s programs, and all adult leaders are screened to ensure the safety of our children.

Sunday Worship

KidZone: Located in the back of the sanctuary, the KidZone provides a space for children and their parents that is kid-friendly but still connected to worship in the sanctuary.

ToddlerZone: Located in the Christian Fellowship Center, the ToddlerZone provides activities and supervision for ages 1-3. The service is livestreamed in the space, so parents who accompany their children will still be able to worship.

Godly Play: The Godly Play room is located off the back room of the Sanctuary and is a Montessori-based curriculum especially designed for ages 3-5. Children are escorted to Godly Play following the children’s message. Parents pick up their children following worship.

Chapel: Following the children’s message, children in grades 1-6 are invited to the chapel for their own special time of worship. Children return to the sanctuary at the end of worship.
