Rev. Ann Conklin

PASTOR AND HEAD OF STAFF

Rev. Ann Conklin began her ministry with First Presbyterian Church of Santa Barbara in March, 2022, as Pastor/Head of Staff. Prior to that, she served Presbyterian churches in Mesa, AZ and Grand Rapids, MI. Care for the whole person is at the heart of her ministry since prior to becoming a pastor, Ann had a career as a physical therapist.

Pastoral care, mission, and community engagement are central to her sense of call. Accompanying others on their journey of healing and wholeness is an important aspect of Ann’s ministry.  Demonstrating the deep and abiding love of God for all people and reaching out to neighbors in need brings her deep joy.

Leading worship and proclaiming God’s word are the highlight of her week. A rich prayer life has carried Ann through many challenges in life and has been the primary means by which the Spirit sustains her for the work that she’s been called to do.

Ann is grateful for the opportunity to join in partnership with the congregation of First Presbyterian Church of Santa Barbara as we grow in faith together and journey forward into God’s good future!
