Youth Home Page

Youth Ministries at First Presbyterian Church is designed to introduce your child (grades 6 through 12) to the love of God in Christ Jesus, and to enable each child to find his or her place as a part of our congregation.

Through learning and doing, our Youth Ministries Program focuses on Jesus’ message and ministry and provides the opportunity to develop a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ and explore Him in the overall structure of the Christian faith. Students learn how to read, search, and apply Scripture to their daily lives and wrestle with the tough questions in hopes that they will become faithful witnesses to Jesus. Christians, new or old, need solid relationships with other believers. At First Presbyterian Church we have created an atmosphere that encourages community among students in order that they form genuine, lifelong relationships with each other.

On Sunday mornings, we attend the worship services, as well as Sunday School (a time of reading and reflection on the weekly scripture). We also have Youth Group activities, mission opportunities, camps, and age-appropriate fellowship, Bible study and fun! Programs vary in their purpose, but all are safe and welcoming. Paid staff and volunteers provide leadership in all youth programs. We have implemented a screening process for our children and youth to ensure their safety. Contact Susan or Eric Wiebe if you are interested in volunteering in some way.
